Save the Date for Vacation Bible School 2010

Parable of the Sower

June 14 - 18

Vacation Bible School 2010 is coming soon! VBS will be from Monday,

June 14 - through Friday, June 18 from 5:15 - 7:30 pm. Dinner will be

provided in the Fellowship Hall and families are encouraged to

attend. We will be offering classes for adults and children and will

be studying the Parable of the Sower. This summer’s VBS has an emphasis

on environmental stewardship and we will learn ways to help our church

“go green” for God! CHILDREN will do many fun activities including

painting their own birdhouse to take home, planting a pizza garden and

making compost for it, creating art from trash, and much more.  Edward

Foster will lead a class for ADULTs that will focus on our obligation

as Christians to be good stewards of God's creation.  The adult class

will also be "hands on" as participants work together to make First

Presbyterian a little greener!  Also, the last night of VBS we will

meet at Ricky Akers' garden on St. Helena Island and celebrate a

wonderful week with a pool party and cookout at Oaks Plantation.

Please turn in registration forms by June 9. To volunteer to help

with VBS, please contact Mary Foster. Registration information may be

viewed and printed out  by clicking on the link below. It is also is

available in the church office and in the weekly bulletins.
