Making Rag Dolls for Orphans in Africa 

On a recent Saturday morning, 16 elementary aged girls (1 brave boy!), 9 moms and 6 women who sew – came together for a Mother-Daughter mission event at FPC Beaufort. This inter-generational project was sponsored by the Presbyterian Women's Mission and headed up by master craftswoman, Donna Sheetz, who taught the children how to make individually created Rag Dolls for the young orphans in Lesotho, Africa supported by our PC(USA) Missionary, Nancy Dimmock. This project was so meaningful and successful, there are plans to have additional Rag Doll making events to share these special creations with those in our local community.
