Sign-up to be a Beadle or a Lay Reader in the New Year!
BEADLES AND LAY READERS FOR 2010

We need you to help our church by participating as a Lay Reader and/or Beadle.  If there is a Sunday service that you would like to volunteer for, please sign up by calling the church office.  You will be mailed information and instructions at the beginning of the month in which you will serve.  Please specify if you cannot serve as both a Lay Reader and a Beadle.  You may also share the role within your family with one member serving as a Lay Reader and another as a Beadle.

PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN ENRICHMENT MORNING

"Creativity - The Arts and the Bible"
     Lead by Claudia Cornett
Cost is $5.00 (includes lunch)

MISSION WORK DAY
FRIDAY, MARCH 12, 2010
9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
    Spend a day in Christian fellowship and, at the same time, help others!
    All women members of First Presbyterian Church, women visitors, and friends of members who can iron, pin, cut, sew, knit or crochet are urged tO attend the Mission Work Day. Since this is our only work day this year, your attendance is vital to the success of our mission goals.
    We will be making lap robes for Bayview Nursing Home in Beaufort and much needed children's blankets, baby gowns and caps for Malawi, the Congo, and Lesotho. Bring pins, scissors, #6 knitting needles (if you knit) and #3 or #4 crochet needles (if you crochet). Yarn and material will be provided. Bring a bag lunch. Dessert and beverages will be provided.
    Call Ora Smith (575-2222) by March 5, if you will be using the nursery.



Don't forget to fill out your Time and Talents Sheet and return it to the church office.
