To all who are weary and need rest, to all who mourn and need
comfort, to all who are lonely and need friendship,
to all who are glad and would serve their neighbors,
to all who are complacent and need disturbing,
to all who sin and need a Savior, this church opens wide
its doors in the name of Christ, and bids you welcome!

We are located in historic Beaufort, South Carolina at the corner
of North and Church Streets.

Mission: Impossible Family VBS 2013 (June 16-20) is partnering with Lowcountry Habitat for Humanity and YOU can help be a part of the success of this mission project by Sponsoring a STUD today!
Studs are an essential building material that strengthens the core of any home – they are 2x4s, 92 5/8 inches in length. It takes over 300 of these studs to frame each Lowcountry Habitat for Humanity home. We are asking individuals to consider sponsoring a stud for $200.00 each. As one of our VBS projects, families will paint, color, and decorate these studs with artwork and words of encouragement for the family who will live in the next Habitat home!
Our church and sponsors will then be invited to a STUD FINDER event this fall where we will be able to see YOUR sponsored stud built into a house frame! If you would like to support this project, please place a check in the offering plate or drop it by the church office (payable to First Presbyterian Church/ memo: HH Stud Sponsor). Feel free to sponsor an entire stud or let any donation amount collaborate with other gifts of support.
For more information or questions, please contact Becky Albright @ 524-3051.

We will host our second GED Boot Camp from July 29 – August 16, 2013 (Monday - Friday) in the Education Building. GED Boot Camp is a day and/or evening program that provides three weeks of intensive preparation for the GED test at no cost to the student.
FPC Beaufort’s first GED Boot Camp was held this past spring with 4 graduates successfully completing the program and receiving their GED. Instructors are Church volunteers, who generously give ther time and talents to this very worthy program. If you know someone who would be interested in the GED Boot Camp - or being a volunteer - please contact Hugh Gouldthorpe, hugh312@gmail.com or the church office, 843-524-3051.
The only requirements for eligibility are that they be 17 years of age and take the TABE (Test for Adult Basic Education) to determine their readiness to participate in the Camp. The student must also be prepared for 15 days of intensive learning, requiring their full attention and time. Boot Camp registration and TABE testing will start on Monday, June 24 and runs through Friday, June 28 from 9 am-2 pm daily. Thank you!
