Mental Health Awareness Task Force

Mental Health Awareness Task Force

Our Mental Awareness Task Force is focused on raising both congregational and community awareness awareness for mental health and reducing the stigma of mental illness. We offer classes and programs designed to open the dialog among our community of faith on issues such as anxiety and depression.

Our pastors and congregation offer community-wide Prayer Vigils designed to allow for an intentional time of prayer and quiet reflection for individuals struggling with mental illness or for the family and friends who support them. In addition to prayer vigils, we also have an annual Blue Christmas service in December that lifts up those for whom Christmas is a difficult time of year.

This task force is continuing to evolve and look for ways to reach out in love, not only to those in our church family, but in our community.
